Requirements

• High school diploma/GED minimum; Associate’s degree preferred
• 1+ year medical billing/coding experience
• Strong relationship management skills (clients/vendors/employees)
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented with Windows/MS programs proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret insurance EOBs
• Multi-tasking ability
• Medical insurance and A/R experience
• Experience with electronic remits/ERA posting (Auto posting)
• Ability to reconcile receipts vs receivables
• Process write-offs per policy
• Phone comfort with payers and patients
• Insurance follow-up experience (commercial, Medicare, Medicala)
• Strong understanding of A/R process; ability to train others
• Analytical and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of healthcare/government/insurance industry

Responsibilities & Duties

• Handle billing (electronic + paper) for PT clinics
• Train front desk staff as needed
• Maintain billing logs and documentation
• Complete special projects as assigned
